Integrative Counsellor & Life Coach

My name is Catherine Aird, and I am a private practitioner at TLC Therapy & Life Coaching. It is my goal to support others to achieve a greater sense of wellbeing, to learn to truly value themselves and to take the steps towards living the life they want to live, as the person they are and want to be.

People often say that they have experience of working with 'eating disorders' or 'anxiety' and so on, yet in my experience, these are aspects of a person's life. As such, I would like to express that I have experience of working with a diverse range of people, with respect and understanding paid to each of their individualities. I have provided counselling services to individuals in relation to their experiences of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, sexual trauma, eating disorders, domestic violence and childhood abuse.

I am a fully qualified Counsellor, holding a Master's degree in MSc Therapeutic Counselling. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I am guided and bound by the high standards of the BACP Ethical Framework. My registration number for the BACP is 383526.

I have received a Professional Life Coaching certification through Transformation Academy, and a further certification through Achology.

"I wholeheartedly believe that every person deserves to be listened to, heard and understood without fear of judgement. I believe that this is important within the therapeutic relationship, but that it is even more important that this is something we all learn to afford ourselves as well. Compassion, understanding and patience are at the heart of my approach."
